We know that some places are better for meeting singles than others. We asked 250 male and female where they like to meet singles and why they felt that these places were good for meeting singles. Listed below you will find the top ten dating locations.
Bars Cafes
This is an old way and a well know way to meet other singles. These places have been around for years and are often used specifically to get people together.
Weddings
It's no surprise that this one made it to our list as the concept of this event is joining two people together. It is also nice because the people you meet are already dressed up, dancing and eating. It's almost like a first date.
Gym
Matchmaking is always going on at gyms as people go to strut their stuff in front of others in hopes of getting noticed. It's a buffet of hot and sexy, sweaty bodies.
Work/ School
What is great about the work or school environment when it comes to dating is that you already have something in common with the person you are meeting. Sometimes you could even meet passerby's as the use the facilities in the area. Just be careful not to break any student/ teacher or employee dating rules.
Malls
Shopping always brings people together and with a variety of stores and events. Malls always make for good matchmaking starter conversations. They are also one of the few places that fits thousands and thousands of people without a stage.
Supermarkets
While we are on the shopping topic, supermarkets came up quite a few times in our survey. People visit the supermarket at least once every two weeks on average, which means there is a good chance you are likely to run in to that person again for a second chance just in case you missed the first.
Dog Park
Another excellent place is the dog park. You can go through any park or dog park and approach other singles. The advantage is that you have a common topic (the dog).
Bowling Aleys/ Pool Halls
These spots are good for the same basic reasons as the gym. You get to show off. But one thing better was fact that these are game places which was for added fun.
Laundromats
This is another place that often allowed for second chances at matchmaking, as most people had specific places they used to do their laundry. This place often gave you extra time while the machines were running to start up a conversation.
