Koopid Launch New Dating Services On Sky Digital
Over 6 million Sky digital subscribers across the UK can now flirt to their heart's content thanks to Koopid, a new interactive TV service launching exclusively on Sky Active today.
Koopid dating services and chat allows viewers who want a taste of romance to access a database of potential love matches via their TV.
Users can browse the service at their leisure and can choose whether they are looking for a long-term relationship, someone to chat to or ‘a bit of fun'! Registration is quick and easy and Koopid uses simple drop down menus to create profiles with the option to add a photo if desired. Users will then be able to search for a potential love match who fulfils their predetermined criteria.
Viewers can then send and receive messages in real time, allowing for TV and online users to chat simultaneously using their Sky remote or remote keypad all while still watching a Sky channel.
For the more adventurous viewer, there is even an option to select ‘Lucky Dip', where Koopid will select a love match.
Tobin Ireland, Commercial Director at Sky Interactive said: “With one in five single people in the UK registered with a dating services, the launch of Koopid will be popular with Sky Active users. Instant messaging and ‘chat' services are a popular option on Sky Active and this will add even more flirtatious fun.”

How to find love!…
Koopid is available to Sky Active users over 18 years. Either press red whilst tuned into Sky One or the Interactive button on the Sky remote to access Sky Active and select ‘Koopid' from the menu in ‘Dating services and Horoscopes'. The message screen is quarter video to allow users to continue to view a Sky channel whilst they chat.
Sky digital viewers receive free registration to Koopid, which then costs 10p per min to go online.
